Section W4A

Around 300 Arrowmen from all over our section attended this weekend of brotherhood in our great order. We were privileged to have our National Chief Evan Chaffee and our Western Region Chief Chad Wolver be with us to join in the festivities. They were out signing sashes and shaking hands of the Arrowmen in attendance and we were honored to have them as our guests. Food was excellent and it was prepared by the food students at the school. The school TV station was even doing interviews of Arrowmen on Saturday Morning. Our facilities at West Ranch High were second to none. It was a brand new High School with wonderful facilities and camping areas. Training was very strong this year with lots of wonderful classes taught by many people from all over our section and even a few from people outside of our section. Flight of the Tunderbird was a real treat and Swinis took First Place. Conclave fair gave kids lots of stuff to do and the Camping Promotions Competition was very close again with Swinis taking top honors. Sports went well with a Lodgeball competition and a kickball competition just to name a few. Our conclave was very spirited as always with the lodges all striving to take home the Spirit Stick and Swinis took it back this year. The Outstanding Lodge Award competition was a tough one as always to take, and Swinis took it from Ta Tanka this year. Shows went very well this year, especially the Theme Show on Saturday Night. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the shows this year. All in all it was a great conclave due to the wonderful job done by our Service Lodge, Malibu and everyone else who help plan it out. If you missed the 07 Conclave, then be sure to put the 08 Conclave on your calendar because you won’t want to miss all this fun again! See you in 08!
